Albert Yaying Xu, at the head of XU-ACOUSTIQUE, has been working
on acoustic research and acoustic design since 40 years.
His
work on room acoustic is recognised as the most advanced and in-depth
in the European architectural society. For instance, Pr. Xu has
been researcher in room acoustic in the "Institut de Recherche
et de Coordination Acoustique / Musique" ("IRCAM")
under the direction of Pierre Boulez. (studies of the correlations
between the subjective appreciation and the objective parameters
of the concert halls, others subjects
).
Rewarded
by the French Architecture Academy as the best architectural consultant
in 1995 and 2004, Pr. Albert Yaying Xu is an active member of
the American Audio Engineering Society and the French Acoustic
Association.
Lecturer
for international scientific research conferences (C.N.R.S. seminars,
International Congress of Acoustic, Scandinavian Conference on
Acoustic, Convention of Audio Engineering Society
), he also
writes for scientific publications as Proceeding of the Institute
of Acoustic and architectural journals as Progressive Architecture
(USA), Technique & Architecture (France), Le Moniteur (France)
He's
presently teaching architectural acoustic in the Architectural
School of Paris in Marne-la-Vallée (previously École
d'Architecture de Paris-Tolbiac).
